HI! I'm Amy!
First things first - I'm creative. Always have been, always will be.

I love the feel of the tools, the loft of natural wools and cottons, the pungent smell of fresh leather, the blending of colours. I am happiest surrounded by (or knee deep in) a creative project (or projects...which happens more often than not).
I'm a Floral Designer who knits, crochets, spins, sews, weaves, leathercrafts, jewelry makes...Trust me, I get lots of eye-rolling and head shaking from my 5 older sisters when I'm working on something new.

But I'm practical. What I design, create, make...needs to have a purpose. A use.
Esthetically pleasing - yes. Comfortable - yes. Stylish - hopefully. But with functionality.

To quote my Scottish grandmother, "It should look just'a lovely on tha'e backside as it do on tha'e face a it.". Now, she was talking about needlepoint, but I do apply that adage to every single thing I make. So, yes, a bit of a perfectionist I am.

I'm also a rescuer of wayward and unloved Scottish tartans - vintage ties and scarves, kilts, skirts, and vests. (Thanks, Grandma!)
I save them from the clothing version of Dante's Hell, and find them a new home.

I started A Juggling Ewe and A Juggling Ewe Woolens as an outlet for my hand knits and hand spun yarns, and a rescue site for my tartan woolens. It's blossomed and grown since then - to include fun, functional, but always professional, Euro style scrub caps and accessories - and my own personally designed box style knitting, notions and make up or travel bags in upcycled denim, canvas, vinyls, felted wools and unique quilting cottons.
